Hi,
Can you help me, one of my hardware agents (ID 128666) is on Rebooting status for some time already. I tried physically unpowering it, and powering it back, but it is still in reboot status.

Hi,
My speed test has not been working since June 10. Can you take a look into this? -
@SBK Can you send me a Zoom invite now?
-
@SBK Hi, sure, I sent you an email.
-
@SBK Hi Ed,
Sure, please let me know when....
-
Oh yes, I remember I moved the agent on another network. So now I restarted the agent. Do I need to reset it?
-
Yes your assumptions are right, I did not reset the agent physically, I just disconnected the RAS, and reconnect again.

@SBK Hi,
Can you help me on my RAS. I tried disconnecting it and reconnecting yesterday, and until now, it is still configuring.
-
@SBK Hi,
I think there was a mistake on my part, since we have multiple internet connection here, I did not notice that the Agent was running on the wrong network, it was not on the same network as the other devices. I will be testing it again. Sorry for that... :)If it still doesn't work, then let's test it together.....

Hi,
So this is my second testing of RAS. To start, I created 5 profiles for different network devices (a printer, a backup device, an industrial machine, a PBX, and a Ubiquiti web console). To create a profile, you just need to give it a profile name, the LAN IP (local IP), LAN port (80 or 443), url type, and the public IP of the one who is going to access it. For my testing, I used the public IP of our secondary ISP, which is entirely separated from the corporate network.
After clicking on Create, the profile is Inactive by default, and you need to click the Enable (thumbs up button). It took 2-3 minutes before it becomes enabled. I noticed that whenever a profile is enabled, then the EDIT button will be greyed out. You can only edit the profile again by deactivating it.
So this is how it looks like:
Out of the 5 Profiles, only the Ubiquiti console worked. I have tried several setting combinations but unfortunately it still didn't work.
Settings tried:
LAN port 80, URL http
LAN port 80, URL https
LAN port 443, URL http
LAN port 443, URL httpsAfter 2 days, I tried it again, and nothing worked. I immediately checked our IP address and it changed. So I figured out this would not work on internet connection that does not have Public Static IP. For our scenario, I would like to use this for our 3rd party vendors, but it would be limited for those who has static IPs on their offices.
Thank you

@OutagesIO_Support Hi, yes I was testing it. Will probably create a post for my testing.
-
@SBK Unfortunately, my extended subscription has expired, so I can no longer check it. Will renew again and let you know.

Hi,
I noticed that the Speedtest has not been working for some time. Are there any issues with it? I have a hardware agent.
Thanks,
-
@SBK Hi yes you are correct. We're still having intermittent connection so I'll probably check it again on Monday. Thanks...
-
@OutagesIO_Support Sure, just let me know. Another thing that you may want to know, I have RESET the hardware agent, and changed its location. After resetting, I noticed that all the RAS profiles were deleted so I created a new one. And this new profile is the one that is still in configuring status.
-
@OutagesIO_Support Hi. Sorry for that, we just had an outage on our area. Now it is back online, and the agent is now active. Still waiting for the RAS to be up.
-
Now I am testing it with the vendor's equipment. I created a new profile but it has been in starting configuration mode for more than an hour... any idea here?
-
Hi. I have tried the RAS and with your help seems to be working now. In order for me to access the router remotely, I need to login to my Outages portal, and click the RAS profile that I setup.
My question is, how can our 3rd party vendors who has their switches/machines located on our premises/network access remotely using RAS without giving them access to my Outages portal?
-
@OutagesIO_Support Hi. I was able to test it and it is working. Now, how can I set up the vendors without giving them access to my Outages login? Can I just give them the URL, or is the URL dynamic?
