    Hello

I need help with using the OutagesIO software. I looked online for a tutorial and could not find anything.

I ordered the hardware, but that will take two weeks to arrive, so I thought I could use the software until it arrives.

I am confused because there were two different sites that I created accounts on and am not sure what the dfference is.

    https://www.outagesio.com/my-account/

    https://app.outagesio.com/

I downloaded and installed the software, unloaded it and launched it.

software agent at OutagesIO. ID: 31518

Where do I go to see the logs? One of the sites said …..

https://app.outagesio.com/agent/dashboard/id/xxxxx Heartbeat/Status: (in Red) Your agent is DISCONNECTED

According to my task bar, the program is on.

My internet went out multiple times yeaterday, but the graphs in the dashboard are blank. Nothing is recorded.

    Running Windows 10 home

    Thank you.

      Hi and welcome to OutagesIO.

I looked online for a tutorial and could not find anything.

We are in the middle of a big upgrade and I think some of the links might need updating. We're trying to move all support to these forums so every reply might help others looking for information.

You can find help in the individual pages of the service by clicking on 'About this page' when one is displayed.

On the www.outagesio.com site, you'll find some other helpful information under the Help menu including how to activate your agent> You should have received an email with the activation details when we shipped.

      https://www.outagesio.com/my-account/

The www.outagesio.com site is our information site, it's basically just the marketing site so people can learn about the service. The 'my-account' is there because you ordered a hardware agent and at this time, the application site doesn't allow ordering directly from there so our cart is on www.outagesio.com. Adding direct purchases on app.outagesio.com is in our list of things to do.

      https://app.outagesio.com/

This is the application site, where your agents and dashboards are.

I downloaded and installed the software, unloaded it and launched it.

software agent at OutagesIO. ID: 31518

      That is the correct link

      https://app.outagesio.com/agent/dashboard/id/31518

This is where your agents dashboard and reports are.

https://app.outagesio.com/agent/dashboard/id/xxxxx Heartbeat/Status: (in Red) Your agent is DISCONNECTED

According to my task bar, the program is on.

My internet went out multiple times yeaterday, but the graphs in the dashboard are blank. Nothing is recorded.

Correct, this is because your agent is not communicating and so it cannot log problems.

I see that your agent communicated for a short amount of time then has been disconnected since.

I did see reports that some Windows taskbar icon does not work. You can check the services on your PC to see the actual status on your agent. I would guess that the service is not running. Try restarting it from there and see if the disconnected status goes away and we'll go from there.

      Regards,
      OutagesIO Support

        Hello Alex

I reset the software in the taskbar and waited a day.

There was no change in what appeared in the dashboard, so I ininstalled the software and reinstalled it.

Setup Failed. 0x80070643 Fatal error during installation.

This happened after I entered my user name and password that I use to open up the dashboard site.

There was no other email listing a user name and password in the Agent 31518 Notification email.

        Regards,

        John
