Swap software agent architecture
-
I originally setup the agent on a Rapsberry Pi. Am I able to change architectures to x86 on Linux?
I gave it a try but the starter.sh script downloads the ARM version of otm_binary which obviously won't work on x86 Linux.

Hi,
Sometimes we can swap but it's tricky now and then.
Your best bet is to delete the old agent and re-install the new one as Linux so that the binary that comes down is for Linux. You see, when you select the agent when creating one, it's the ID that tells the logic which OS you're using which is why you are getting the wrong binary.
Hope this helps to explain.

Thanks, that makes sense.
However I'm not able to delete the old agent. Nothing happens when I click Delete.

I'm sorry about that. I'll pass this on to our dev so he can look as soon as possible. Give it under 12hrs or so and it'll be fixed.
I'll update here once it is.

Maybe we're not able to delete an agent with an active subscription? I found the link for the delete button is different for the new agent I'm setting up to replace the old one. Trying to delete the old agent by changing the URL got me the following message: "Agent 130771 cannot be removed!"
Could you please transfer the subscription from agent ID 130771 to agent ID 130990 ?
-
Sorry for not getting back to you on this. Yes, you're right, you cannot delete a subscribed agent.
I'm not 100% sure that we can swap them but I'll ask Ed, our dev, to take a look at this in his morning. He's gone for the day. -
Hi, the agents were swapped. Now you'll see your 130771 active with your reports.
-
@OutagesIO_Support Magic - thanks for doing that!

No problem, glad it worked because sometimes, we can't do it :).
